My name is Lesley 
. I was born in Scottsdale and raised in Tucson Arizona. Its too hot here. I am a junior at Canyon Del Oro! When taking pictures I am influenced by many different things but one artist that influences me the most is Thomas D. Mangelsen. Mangelsen takes pictures of wildlife and landscape which is my personal favorite type of photography. When I see an image in my mind I try to catch it with my camera. While taking the picture I think of how I can make the picture say something and make it interesting. I think a photography class is an excellent course for anyone to take even if they don’t want to make a living out of taking pictures the class teaches you how to take pictures in all aspects of life. When we grow up and have our families there will be many pictures taken to keep a memory of a certain time. No one wants poorly taken pictures of their first child. This class also is a very good way to get started for a career. Personally have learned so much and if I want to go to college and study more photography I am already one step ahead of every that didn’t take this class. There are so many job opportunities available by taking pictures you can work for weddings, school portraits, the list is endless. People say a picture is worth a thousand words and that is more then true. A picture tells a story. When you take a picture I see it as kind of freezing time. That second in time is frozen forever in a picture. When we are gone someone will look at pictures and know the good times and struggles we’ve been through.
